If you’re going to build a retro gaming device, why not do it with a little style? The TurtlePi starts with a 1989 Konami Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles LCD handheld with a bad board and replaces the internals using a Raspberry Pi Zero W and Adafruit PiTFT screen to build a TMNT-themed handheld like no other!

That's not his favorite video game! How dare you! Lol.
hats of to u
buddy
You’re a legend mate, thanks so much for sharing this with us! Can’t wait till a Contra handheld shows up on ebay, in the meantime I’ll be doing a similar “procedure” on Tiger handhelds 😁👌🔥
If I find something that at any thrift store, I will send you mine to your address so you can do the same what you did in that video.
Not the most ideal controller for form factor, but soooo much more awesome than anything we had as a kid. This is what we all wanted and imagined when we bought these electronic handhelds. Now it is a reality! Awesome Job!
sick
I'm always late to the party. Awesome build Matt. I would love to see a step by step process and parts list.
i have that exact game somewhere. taken apart in a ziplock bag.
How did you get the tmnt arcade game on the pi zero
Awesome video 🙂 I’m new here I just started my channel recently but I’m so glad I found you! 🙂 Peace, JR.
I LOVE NINJA TURTLES!! this was so interesting and really fun to watch!
This is pretty amazing! I for one endorse the use of clean turtle power!
Nice work with the guest actor. The cracking voice along with the bucket head mask made this incredible.
And I'm like 70% sure I remember playing this game. Didn't remember anything good (par for the course with these things) but I had a poster of the artwork on it. What a masterpiece.
Great work man! Congrats on the win. This really has a classic TBHS feel while keeping your own style.
That awesome! How long did you play after lol
I actually got to meet Ben Heck at MRRF a few weeks ago and show him my 3D printed arcade cabinet design. Glad to see the winner is such a worthy successor!
Nicely done video, and cool idea. Congrats on winning the contest!
